Twin Day

Today was twin day at Cracker Trail as part of school spirit week. This is almost all of the fourth grade team. The triplets are myself, Connie(middle), Allisa (end in pink). In the middle we have Ian soon to be a new dad in November and Russ a new grandpa. It is baby fever in fourth grade. A couple of the kids actually thought Connie was really pregnant and her belly appeared over night. It was a so funny. We even ended up on our school morning news.

Zander's Nursery

Zander's nursery is coming along. The furniture arrived last week. It is turning out exactly how we wanted. We decided to go with a sailboat theme because I really liked the bedding. We have all sorts of decorations. We really loved the large sailboat with blue and yellow sails. It isn't complete yet but it is getting close. I still need to order curtains and a rug. We still need to hang up a swinging shelf, a clock, and a painting. My project for this weekend is to paint the letters of his name that will go over his crib!

Ryan's Favorite Gift

At the baby shower one of the gifts were a Haynes Pest Conrol, Inc. bodysuit. The family who gave it to us called around town and found the company we use to make Ryan's work shirts. Zanders outfit is an exact match to his daddy's! I was so excited when I saw it. Ryan went nuts! He loved it. Ryan suggested bringing Zander home from the hospital in it but I told him he may need to grow for a couple of months before he is big enough to fit in it!

Baby Gifts

At my classroom shower we got so many wonderful things for Zander. We got toys, diapers, his first pair of shoes, clothing, blankets, and much more. Zander will be the cutest kid on the street. I am so blessed for such an amazing shower. It was so much fun to have one with the kids.

Zander Chocolates

At the baby shower one of my parents had Zander chocolates made. They were the cutest things! Each chocolate had Zander and all of the information about my classroom baby shower. I have never seen anything like it before and loved the idea!

Cake Faces

Above is the cake from the baby shower. It was a cupcake cake and everyone enjoyed the cake especially the icing! A couple of my kids thought it would be funny to put frosting on their faces. It was and of course I had to take a picuture!

Classroom Baby Shower Games

At the baby shower they played a few games. The kids had a blast. The first game was baby bingo. They had to mark their card if they had a particular baby item when it was called out. The next game was a timed word search with baby items. In the word search was also Haynes and Zander. I thought that was a cute personal touch. My favorite game was the Stinky Diaper game. Each kid was given a diaper in a sealed plastic bag. When they yelled go each kid opened their diaper and the winner was the kid with the "stinky" diaper. This was histerical! For a while the kids didn't realize the "poop" was actually melted chocolate.

Classroom Baby Shower

My very first baby shower was held on May 15, 2009. It was put on my the parents and students in my classroom. It was so much fun! The kids had a blast. The room was completely decorated. My front door even had "It's a boy!". I had a special chair with balloons on it.

It's a boy!

Several of my friends have been asking me to do a blog. I thought what a better time than now. We are very excited that we are having a baby boy! Ryan could not be happier and can't wait for his "little man" to arrive. My ultrasound was March 31st. Right now he is healthy and kicking all of the time especially when i eat. Just in case you don't know his name will be Kenneth Zander Haynes.
